Santa Rosa, California, is home to Zane's Garage, a hot rod shop like no other that specializes in high quality metal work, paint finishes, and hot rod construction. Zane Cullen, owner and master painter, started the business in 1993 and has never looked back. His 10,000 square foot facility employs ten people and focuses on the overall package with a constant attention to detail of each project they undertake. Customers today want to deal with one shop, says Cullen, and his shop does it all, only outsourcing for upholstery work and engine builds.

Zane’s father had a shop while growing up and going to high school. At the age of 15, he was involved in a work release program requiring a special note because he did not even have his driver’s license yet. The teacher told him he was too advanced and placed him in Pilgrim’s, a local body shop. After 6 months, he was a full time painter and stayed with them for three years.
